ANNUAL CONCERTS

Each grade level performs in regular concerts at the high school for family and friends throughout the year.

Seasonal concerts are scheduled for most grades with a couple of additional concerts added at the high school level.

 DISNEY TOUR / PARADES

Both Marysville high school marching bands have traveled to Florida every third year to play and march in the Disney Parade at Disney World.  It is an honor to be a part of this event and a great reward for all the hard work the bands put into playing.  Fundraisers are consistently being offered to defray the cost of this event.

Locally, the marching bands participate in the Homecoming Parade, pre-game and halftime, the Marysville Christmas Tree Parade and the Marysville Memorial Day Parade

SUMMER BAND CAMPS

Band camps are scheduled in the summer prior to fall Marching season.  These camps are designed to introduce and prepare the students for the upcoming fall marching program.  They are organized for the incoming Freshman Band and for the 10^th, 11^th and 12^th grade Viking Regiment.

The Freshman Marching Band practices at designated times twice in the summer ( a 3 half-day Freshman Pre-Band Camp and a 3 half-day Mini Band Camp) at the high school.

The  Viking Regiment practices three times in the summer

(a 3 half-day Pre-Band Camp and 3 half-day Mini Band Camp at the high school and a week-long overnight Band Camp at Hillsdale. Again, students have ample opportunity to fundraise throughout the year to defray the cost of attending  Band Camp.

Again, these summer band camps offer the opportunity for the students to begin practicing their marching program as a group.  Attending these camps in full is necessary due to the intense learning and preparation that takes place to ready the students for the fall marching season.

BAND AWARDS NIGHT

At the end of the year a “Band Awards Night” is presented for Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors.  This is a very special event recognizing individual achievements as well as a celebration of past band memories throughout the year with a special tribute to the Senior band members.

GRADUATION CEREMONY

The Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors play for the scheduled high school graduation ceremony at the stadium each year.  Band members are required to attend.
